I have a selection of metal cans to use as 'chucks' to trim the pots with.
I carefully pull handles and put them on.
I carfully sieve the glazes with a 30 mesh sieve. I use a kitchen sieve to stir the glaze and remove loose debris from the glaze: brush hair, pieces of pottery, lumps of glaze and crystalized glaze materials.
