Trimming pots, Making handles, Sieving glazes

Mixing clay with an old ships's dough mixer. I have a Mexican friend who still uses his feet to mix the clay, but this does just fine. I use about 1/4 slip and recycled clay scrap to make my clay.


I lay the wet clay out on a plaster table and hand wedge it into balls of clay to make pots with.


Centering and throwing the balls of clay are a fraction of the work. Each piece is a canvas to apply decoration to.
